RESIDENTIAL TEAM LEADER - Full Time, On Call

Provides daily supervision of residents, activities, and staff to ensure a safe and therapeutic residential environment. Coordination and supervision of residents’ social, educational, and behavioral activities. Responsible for staff selection, training, evaluation and supervision. Recommends disciplinary action. Provides assistance to identified victims of crime who are residents of the Wichita Children's Home by providing services identified in the VOCA Grant. This is an exempt position.

DUTIES - Responsible for designing crisis plans and behavioral programs for residents. Manage residential staff through employment, performance, disciplinary and day to day operational activities.  Provide case management to custody and private admissions. Meet objectives of the VOCA grant

QUALIFICATIONS -Bachelor’s degree in social services or a closely related field preferred; or three years experience working with abused children and able to demonstrate a knowledge of child/abuse neglect issues, show good communication skills and display effective organizational skills. Prior supervisor experience preferred.

CHILD ACCESS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - Full Time

Greet visitors, clients, and staff/volunteers.  Answer telephone, take coherent messages and be able to document all calls.  Complete all correspondence accurately and within specified time frame.  Maintain and organize department records and files.  Maintain appropriate level of supplies and forms.  Attends and assists with preparations for scheduled meetings and takes minutes at meetings, as well as other various duties as needed. 

Qualifications- An associates degree or equivalent from a two – year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience/and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Minimum of 6 months experience working with children and families.

TEACHING PARENT Various Shifts Available

Position is daily supervision of residents, and activities to ensure a safe and therapeutic residential environment. Additional duties will be transportation to school or appointments, guidance in daily living skills, maintaining structure with the family teaching model, and crisis intervention as required.

Duties- Supervision of residents’ social, educational, and behavioral activities and afternoon school runs during the school year. Responsible for the completion of required paperwork. Must have the skills, patience, and understanding to work with and around special needs youth. Good interpersonal skills, including composure under stress and sensitivity to the needs of others. Ability to represent the Home in a professional manner. Provide a positive role model by demonstrating commitment, punctuality, effective time management, and good communication skills.

Qualifications- High School degree/GED required, college degree preferred. One to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LIFE SKILLS COACH – Full Time & Part Time Available

Position is daily supervision of residents, and activities to ensure a safe and therapeutic residential environment. Additional duties will be transportation to school or appointments, guidance in daily living skills, maintaining structure with the family teaching model, and crisis intervention as required. The hours will be Sun - Wed 11:30p - 9:30a.

Duties- Supervision of residents’ social, educational, and behavioral activities and afternoon school runs during the school year. Responsible for the completion of required paperwork. Must have the skills, patience, and understanding to work with and around special needs youth. Good interpersonal skills, including composure under stress and sensitivity to the needs of others. STREET OUTREACH PEER COUNSELOR

Position works in partnership with adult Street Outreach worker on the street.

Duties- Must be able to approach and engage youth on the street.No experience needed.

Qualifications- Ages 16-19 years old.
