How We Serve
Although more than 2,000 children are admitted each year, the Home's mission extends beyond providing only crisis intervention services. At WCH, our services are comprehensive and outcome-oriented, with an eye to creating stronger individuals and healthier families.
Ava's Story
Ava is only 16 years old. She wishes she could be like other girls her age who are focused on the upcoming dance and playing sports, but her reality looks different. Ava is pregnant. When her mom found out, she forced Ava to move out of their home, leaving her alone and scared for her and her baby’s future. Gerard House and the MOM Program at WCH help young women like Ava by providing housing and services for pregnant and parenting teens. These programs equip them with the skills they’ll need to become successful parents so they can thrive.
