Lowe’s Grant and Red Vest Work Day Help Refresh WCH Great Room

We are so grateful to the Lowe’s Points of Light Foundation for their generous grant that will help us update and improve our Great Room at the Wichita Children’s Home!

Our youth gather here to relax, watch TV, and play games. Thanks to Lowe’s support, we’ll make important updates, including new lighting and ceiling tiles, while creating a warmer, more welcoming space with fresh paint, an electric fireplace with a mantel, bookshelves, and a fun cityscape mural.

Today, about 40 Lowe’s team members rolled up their sleeves for a Red Vest Work Day and helped bring this project to life. From taping and painting to starting the refresh, their time and hard work are already making a difference. More work remains, but we are incredibly thankful to the Lowe’s Points of Light Foundation and the entire Lowe’s team for their generosity, hard work, and commitment to our community.

Thank you, Lowes, for helping us create a space where our youth can feel comfortable, connected, and at home!
